We’re excited to share that Car Story: Maintenance Log is now available on the App Store. It’s the first app we’re shipping under Team AM, and it does one thing well: keeps every vehicle you own on top of its maintenance.

Why we built it
Cars are one of the most expensive things most people own, and almost no one tracks their maintenance well. Manuals get lost. Receipts pile up in a glove box or get thrown out. Service intervals live in a manufacturer’s PDF that nobody reads. So people either over-service (and overspend) or under-service (and pay for it later in repairs).
We wanted an app that does the boring, important work of remembering for you — without asking you to hand over your data, sign up for an account, or pay a subscription. Local-first because car records belong to the owner, not a cloud service. Manufacturer schedules baked in because that’s the part that takes hours to research. Simple logging because the bar for using the app every few months has to be low.
Car Story is our first step toward a small catalog of apps that take a single, real annoyance and remove it. More to come.
