How do I select a word?
Press on the first letter and drag through the word — across, down, or diagonally, in either direction. Lift your finger on the last letter. If it matches one of the puzzle words, it locks in and its definition appears.
Where do the words and definitions come from?
Word Puzzle is built on a curated 3,700-word vocabulary set drawn from common SAT and GRE word lists, each with a concise definition. Words are grouped into 500+ themed puzzles so you learn them in related clusters.
How do coins and hints work?
You earn coins each time you solve a puzzle. Spend them on a hint to reveal the starting letter of a word you have not found yet. You start with a small balance, so you can try hints right away.
What's free, and what's Pro?
Free includes 300+ SAT-level themed puzzles, a definition for every word you find, coins and hints, and your full progress dashboard. Word Puzzle Pro — a one-time purchase, not a subscription — unlocks 200+ advanced puzzles covering the harder SAT and GRE word lists, and the complete themed vocabulary set.
I bought Pro but it is not showing — what do I do?
Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Pro is tied to your Apple ID, so it restores on any device signed in with the same account. If it still does not appear, email us.
Does Word Puzzle work offline?
Yes. The entire word library ships inside the app and your progress is stored locally. The only network activity is Apple processing a purchase.
