Privacy Policy

Privacy first: Hone Literacy is designed so that we never see your data. There are no accounts, no servers of ours, no analytics, and no ads. Your reading progress stays on your device.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Personal information

We collect no personal information. Hone Literacy requires no account, email, or identifier of any kind. You can use the app completely anonymously.

1.2 Reading progress

Everything the app tracks — your answers, streak, daily stats, Literacy Index, and saved vocabulary — is stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device.

1.3 Analytics

We collect no analytics or usage data. Hone Literacy contains no third-party analytics SDKs, tracking, or telemetry — and no advertising.

2. Reading content

The app ships with a library of reading passages built in, and can download newer passages when you tap Get latest readings. That request fetches a public data file over HTTPS and sends no personal information; it carries no identifier and is not tied to you.

3. Notifications

Daily reading reminders are off by default. If you turn them on, they are scheduled on-device as local notifications. No reminder data is sent to us or anyone else.

4. Purchases

Hone Literacy Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The purchase is validated on-device using Apple's StoreKit — there is no third-party purchase server, and we never see your name, email, or payment details.

5. Children's privacy

Hone Literacy is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

6. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the effective date revised before the change ships.
